Several enzymes involved in the biosynthesis of glutamate are dysregulated in AML. The expression levels of genes involved in the biosynthesis and metabolism of glutamate were assessed in AML TCGA samples using GEPIA. The data indicate that the expression of (A) GLS, (B) GLS2, and (C) PRODH is upregulated, whereas the expression of (D) BCAT1, (E) BCAT2, and (F) GLUD2 is downregulated. Log2 (TPM + 1) was used for log-scale and P values ≤ 0.01 are denoted with an asterisk (*) and indicate significance (nAML = 173; ncontrol = 70).
