TABLE 3.
Effect of extensive passaging of Candida species in the presence of sub-MICs of various antifungal compounds on the MICs of these compounds
Strain | Fold change in antifungal MIC at passage 30a |
|||
---|---|---|---|---|
NP339 | Caspofungin | Fluconazole | Amphotericin B | |
C. albicans SC5314 | 1 | 4 | 256 | 4 |
C. auris DSMZ1092 | 1 | 1 | 4 | 4 |
C. glabrata AM2007/0125 | 0.125 | 1 | 2 | 1 |
C. tropicalis AM2005/0568 | 1 | 8 | 256 | 4 |
The MIC of each compound tested at passage 0 was normalized to 1, and the fold change after 30 passages in 0.25× MIC of each antifungal was calculated. A value of 1 signifies no change. The data are averages from three independent replicates.
