Integrative analysis of metabolomics and transcriptomics revealed pathways significantly varied. Overview (a) of the pathways was presented, and the most significantly altered pathways (pathways with lowest P-values) were pathways in cancer (b, − log10(p) = 71.2, impact = 1.85), herpes simplex virus 1 infection (c, − log10(p) = 53.3, impact = 1.72) and MAPK signaling pathway (d, − log10(p) = 51.5, impact = 2.72).
