Thrombotic retiform purpura (clinical features). (A), (B) Patients had progressed from moderate COVID-19 to critical COVID-19. Each patient had acute respiratory failure and was ventilator dependent. They had PCR-proven SARS-CoV-2 infection. Typically, after a few days on ventilator support, the patients developed retiform purpura that was invariably associated with their worsening clinical features.
