The crystal structure of [Zr(C17H26N4O8)] – 3.33 H2O (Zr-TRITA). The asymmetric unit cell contains three crystallographically-independent molecules. The introduction of the additional methylene unit into the TRITA backbone increases the cis-N-Zr-N bite angle of the cyclam portion of the ligand by 15° when compared to the cis-N-Zr-N bite angle exhibited by the cyclen portion of the ligand. Only a partial numbering scheme is provided. Solvent molecules and hydrogen atoms are omitted for clarity. Thermal ellipsoids are drawn at the 50% probability level.
