The possible mechanisms of MCPIP1 enhanced TNF-α-induced apoptosis. TNF-α binds to TNF receptor (TNFR) and transduces at least cell survival (blue line) and apoptosis (red line) signals. MCPIP1 may inhibit IKK activation and NF-κB translocation through its deubiquitinase and RNase, respectively, and finally downregulates cFLIP expression.
