mRNA levels of plasma membrane Ca2+–ATPase (PMCA)1–4 in human odontoblast cell lines (HBO cells). Real-time RT-PCR was used to quantify the detection level of PCMA1–4 mRNAs by measuring the increase in fluorescence elicited by the binding of SYBR green dye to double-stranded DNA. Data were analyzed by the 2−[ΔΔCt] method, with β-actin as an internal control (which was positive in all samples). Each bar denotes the mean ± SE of 7 experiments. Expression levels were normalized to β-actin mRNA levels. Statistically significant differences between columns (shown by solid lines) are marked with asterisks. * P < 0.05.
