Weighted displacement in μm vs. frequency in Hz for skin determined in vivo using VOCT (top). Note the presence of a normal dermal collagen peak at 120 Hz. The peaks at 70, 140, 380 and 440 Hz are due to the cellular contribution, vascular, muscle and tendon contributions based on Table 1. A plot of loss modulus as a % of the elastic modulus versus frequency measured for skin over the biceps muscle is shown (bottom). Note the loss modulus is maximized at low frequencies and is much higher than that of decellularized skin.
