Promoter activity of pltZ was measured using the GFP reporter construct pZ-gfp in Pf-5 mutants (A), or in strain SBW25 with or without the presence of the expression construct pME6010-pltZ (B). Promoter activity was measured as relative GFP recorded at 24 hpi. * indicates treatments are significantly different (p < 0.05), as determined by the Student’s t-test. Data are means and standard deviations of at least three biological replicates from a representative experiment repeated three times with similar results.
