Methylation reaction by methyltransferases. Methyltransferases catalyzes the methylation of cellular molecules, such as proteins, DNA, and phospholipids and some natural products by transferring methyl groups from methyl donor, SAM to their specific substrates, producing methylated substrates and SAH.
