Study design and patient enrollment. Initially, a total of 889 renal transplant recipients were screened, but 793 patients were excluded because they did not meet the inclusion criteria. RTx recipients were defined as fast and slow Tac metabolizers 3 months after transplantation, and survival was observed in a 60-month follow-up.
