Cellular uptake of SNPs. Curcumin (Cur) molecule, which has intrinsic fluorescent properties, was used to label SNPs. For the synthesis of Se@Cur/Eud-Cs, 5 mL of Cur solution (1 mg/mL in acetone) was used instead of TMZ solution and cellular uptake of Cur and Se@Cur/Eud-Cs was evaluated by flow cytometry. The results showed higher uptake of (a) Se@Cur/Eud-Cs rather than (b) free Cur (p-value < 0.01) in C6 rat glioblastoma cells after 4 h treatment.
