Effects of different NaCl concentrations on the PAM parameters of the chlorophyll fluorescence in leaves of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Shamal) and maize (Zea mays L. Kerala). The effective quantum yield of photochemical energy conversion of PSII, Φ_PSII; the ratios of non-regulated (Φ_NO) and regulated (Φ_NPQ) energy loss in PSII. Mean values (± SE) were calculated from 8 independent measurements. Different letters indicate significant differences for the respective parameters at p < 0.05 (uppercase for sorghum and lowercase for maize).
