The chemical structures of Cannabigerol (CBG), Cannabidiol (CBD), Tetrahydrocannabinol (Δ9-THC), Cannabichromene (CBC) and Cannabinol (CBN)-type neutral, varinic and acidic phytocannabinoids. More than 120 phytocannabinoids have been isolated from Cannabis sativa L. which can be distinguished into eleven chemical subtypes (Gonçalves et al. 2020; ElSohly 2017). Their common chemical features include a dibenzopyran ring and a hydrophobic alkyl chain (Morales et al. 2017). Aside from Δ9-THC and CBD, there has been a current focus on the therapeutic properties of some minor, varinic and acidic cannabinoids (Andre et al. 2016; Franco et al. 2020).
