FAHFA concentrations in different age groups and sexes. Serum FAHFA levels were measured in the enable cohort according to age (A) and sex (B). Adolescents, 18–25 years; Adults, 40–65 years; Elderly, 75–85 years. Kruskal-Wallis test with Dunn's posttest was used to compare the age groups. Mann-Whitney test was used to compare females and males. Box plots describe the median and the 25th percentile and 75th percentile. n = 20 per age group and n = 30 per sex.
