Fig. 2. Late-stage coupling between C-centered radical donors with electrophilic dehydroalanine acceptors incorporates NPAAs directly into peptides. All amino acid reactions were performed using 0.35 mmol AcHN-Dha-CO2Me, 1.05 mmol of boronic acid, and 0.035 mmol of lumiflavin in a phosphate buffer solution at pH 7 [10 mM]. Reactions were degassed with N2 and irradiated for 15 h.
