Epidermal pavement cells, trichomes and stomata (right) are found on the leaf blade throughout. Trichomes are only found on the adaxial side of the leaf blade, whereas more stomata are located on the abaxial side. Neither stomata nor trichomes differentiate from the epidermis immediately above the midvein.
