The MD fROIs were localized using the visuo-spatial memory task (available for 35 subjects; see Supplemental for an alternative analysis where the Nonwords > Sentences contrast, available for all participants, was used as the MD localizer). Performance was averaged across the 35 participants and bootstrap confidence intervals were constructed (Light Blue: 90%, Blue: 95%, Light Red: 98%, Red: 99%). Reading times predict the activity in left and right language fROIs, but not in MD fROIs.
