Fuzzy equal membership function. Fuzzy equal membership grade, ${\eta }_m\left(LF{C}_m^{\mathit{MUBL}}\right)$, of a mutant consisting of a left‐hand side membership function, ${\eta }_m^L$, and right‐hand side membership function, ${\eta }_m^R$, applied to evaluate the closeness for $LF{C}_m^{\mathit{MUBL}}$ of the mutant to the template. The membership grade is zero if $LF{C}_m^{\mathit{MUBL}}$ exceeds the lower bound ($LF{C}_m^{CABL,LB}$) or upper bound ($LF{C}_m^{CABL,UB}$). Conversely, the membership grade is between 0 and 1 if the membership function is within its bounds.
