Effects of intra-articular injection of poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase 1 (PARP-1) shRNA (short hairpin (sh)-PARP-1) on the weight-bearing distribution of a) Δ force and b) knee joint width in rats that underwent anterior cruciate ligament transection (ACLT) plus medial meniscus removal (MMx). An incapacitance test was used to measure the weight-bearing of the hind limb preoperatively and every two weeks after surgery for 12 weeks. The widths of the bilateral joints were measured every two weeks after surgery for 12 weeks. The data are the difference between the weights and the widths of the contralateral and ipsilateral limbs. N = 12 in each group. Data are presented as mean (standard deviation (SD)).**p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001 compared to the osteoarthritis (OA) group.
