Study Design. Mice, in groups of three, were sorted into eight groups: sham-treated (blue), untreated (C0), and burned mice (red). Serum samples and skin biopsies were collected at euthanasia at either hour 0 (untreated only; C0), 1 (burned only; G1), 2 (sham-treated [C2] and burned [G2]), 6 (sham-treated [C3] and burned [G3]), or 24 (sham-treated [C4] and burned [G4]).
