The expression levels of EGFR and PCNA in fresh ESCC samples were verified by Western blotting. The protein of β-actin was used as a loading control. (A) The expression levels of EGFR and PCNA were normalized as the ratio to level of β-actin. (B) A statistical analysis (student’s t-test) indicated that both biomarkers were more elevated in the tumor tissues than the surrounding normal tissues.
