^aAMU, Acute Medical Unit was a dedicated facility within NUH that acts as the focus for acute medical care for patients that have presented as medical emergencies to hospitals. Investigations would be rapidly perform to determine patients' diagnoses and preliminary treatment plan before being discharged or transferred to other wards.
