Evaluation of 5,6-ECs-induced cytotoxic effects on HMCLs. JJN3 and U266 cells were seeded in 96-well plates at the density of 2 × 105 cells/well for 24 h. Then, cells were cultured with 5–80 μg/mL 5,6 α-EC or 5,6 β-EC for 24–72 h and their viability assayed using a colorimetric MTT assay. Reported values are means ± SD from three independent experiments. No statistically significant difference between control (no treatment) and vehicle (EtOH-treatment) was noticed.
