Effect of tumor-derived exosomes on the mRNA expression (fold change) of angiogenesis-related genes in HNSCC cells. (a–d) After treating each exosome isolated from CMs (1–5) with the same concentration for 48 h, FaDu and primary HNSCC cell mRNA was extracted and qPCR analysis was performed. (e,f) After extracting miRNA from exosomes isolated from CMs, miR-21 and miR-221 expression levels were analyzed using TaqMan MicroRNA Assay Kit. mRNA expression of PTEN and ZEB2, direct target genes of miR-21 and miR-221, respectively, was compared in HNSCC cells treated with exosomes for 48 h.
