Possible specific mechanisms for negative regulation of NLRP3 inflammasome activation. The activation of NLRP3 inflammasome can be negatively regulated through at least four pathways: the mechanism of autophagy, the mechanism by interfering with the related genes expression, the mechanism of receptor binding and blocking, the mechanism from cytokine regulation. It can also be understood that the above four pathways contribute to the decomposition and destruction of NLRP3 inflammasome. ROS may be dual and generally contribute to the formation and activation of NLRP3 inflammasome.
