Representative absorbance traces (absorbance at 415 nm; range ∼0.3–0.8) in the absence (A) and presence (B) of acetazolamide monitored by the diffusion chamber technique. After equilibration with 100% O2 (100% O2 saturation) and 100% N2 (0% O2 saturation), the hemolysate was equilibrated with 0.44% O2 to achieve approximately 50% O2 saturation before equilibration with 1% CO2, 0.44% O2, as indicated by the shaded area.
