Outcomes Cost or cost‐effectiveness: Individuals assigned to evolving consumer households had mean annual housing expenditures of $42,829 compared with $13,042 for individuals assigned to independent living apartments; difference in annual mean treatment costs of individuals in the ECH group ($11,293) and the independent apartment living group ($14,541) were not statistically different; the mean annual cost per person the evolving consumer households group was statistically higher than those in independent living apartments ($56,434 vs $29,838).
