    gestational age 28–34 weeks

    Birth weight of <2 kg

Exclusion criteria: Preterm newborn

    Birth weight >2 kg

  • 2.

    Lethal Congenital malformation

  • 3.

    Newborn on ventilator

Interventions Intervention 1: giving probiotics: 50% of preterm newborn are given probiotics while rest 50% are not given probiotics
Intervention 2: giving probiotics: 50% of preterm newborn are given probiotics while rest 50% are not given probiotics
Control Intervention 1: not applicable
Outcomes Occurrence of necrotising enterocolitis
