Interventions

Group 1 (N = 94): The participants were given IFA tablets (100 mg elemental iron + 0.5 mg folic acid) once weekly |
Group 2 (N = 118): The participants were given IFA tablets (100 mg elemental iron + 0.5 mg folic acid) twice weekly |
Group 3 (N = 81): The participants were given IFA tablets (100 mg elemental iron + 0.5 mg folic acid) daily |
The intervention was continued for a duration of 1 year |
