Validation of in vivo protein expression by immunohistochemistry (IHC). (C, D) Whole biopsy samples from PE and SE in Ctrl and PCOS were used for IHC staining to identify LPAR1 and ALDH1A1 proteins. For every patient, 3 different areas (700 × 700 µm) on each slide were considered and stroma was separated from the glandular epithelium manually for staining quantification.
