Table 6.

The CAM6 variables which are written to the initial files. The state variables are those that are directly changed by the assimilation. The rest evolve in response to the changes to the state variables as well as the model physics and dynamics. The “modes” in the MAM419 modal aerosol scheme are “accum”(1), “aitken”(2), “coarse”(3), and “primary_carbon”(4).
