(b) p300 acetylation of Api5 at lysine residue 251 stabilises the protein in the nucleus; whereas de-acetylation of Api5 at K251 by HDAC1 de-stabilises the protein which enables it to get translocated to the cytoplasm. Overall, this leads to proliferation of the cells.
