Financial consequences of employment disruption by resource use among respondents taking a significant amount of time off work in a sample of employed patients with cancer who received assistance from a national non-profit (Oct – Nov 2019) (N = 510). Figure 3 shows the percentage of participants reporting financial consequences of employment disruption (income loss and a change in health insurance) by the types of employment leave resources used after controlling for clinical and sociodemographic characteristics. Income loss was most commonly reported among those using unpaid leave only, whereas a change in health insurance was most commonly reported among those using both paid and unpaid resources.
