Subunits of human RNA polymerase III. Fourteen of the seventeen subunits of human Pol III are appropriately assigned. Subunits POLR2E, POLR2F and POLR2H are not displayed. The Figure is inspired by the structure of human Pol III published by Girbig et al. (2021) (PDB7AE3). The RPC4/RPC5 hetero-dimeric complex is required by termination/reinitiation. The RPC3/RPC6/RPC7 hetero-trimeric subcomplex is required for transcription initiation.
