Isoproterenol does not significantly affect short-term synaptic plasticity in either segment of the hippocampus. Short-term synaptic plasticity was studied at a stimulation current intensity producing a subthreshold fEPSP slope of about 1 mV/ms. Changes in fEPSP are plotted as a function of stimulus number.
