Puerarin regulates the Sirt1/TGF-β1/Smad3 signaling axis in IL-1β- and TNF-α-stimulated neurons. Following nerve cell exposure to IL-1β (10 ng/mL) and TNF-α (50 ng/mL) or puerarin (100 μM), Sirt1 mRNA and protein levels were determined using RT-qPCR (A) and Western blotting (B), respectively. The levels of TGF-β1, Smad3 and phosphorylated Smad3 were measured using Western blot analysis.
