MGF-AuNPs inhibit PC-3 tumor growth in SCID mice. The SCID mice were divided in groups of seven mice each and implanted with PC3 cells subcutaneously in the right flanks. The tumors were allowed to grow till visible and palpable. Once palpable, the mice were randomized and treated with MGF-AuNPs (0.5 mg/kg, 1.0 mg/kg and 1.5 mg/kg body weight). These experiments were terminated once the untreated control mice (SCID) were morbid and started to lose weight. The tumor volumes were measured during the course of the study and plotted.
