All measurements were taken digitally in Dragonfly v.2021.1.0.977 on the oldest generation of replacement tooth within a given alveolus. Because it was not possible to observe textural differences of the enamel that distinguish the root from the crown, measurements of apicobasal crown length are necessarily approximations that may slightly overestimate this length.
