Red arrows point to the prominent hyalinosis in one of the arterioles of this glomerulus. The partial reduction in glomerular capillary luminal space throughout the glomerulus is due to the mesangial expansion (marked by *) primarily as a consequence of the accumulation of extracellular matrix proteins.
