Schematic diagram summarizes the mechanisms of S1P-induced EPC angiogenesis during RA pathogenesis. S1P induces VEGF expression in osteoblasts by suppressing miR-16-5p expression via the S1P1 and S1P3 receptors, and the c-Src and FAK signaling pathways, and promotes EPC angiogenesis in RA.
