Insulin concentrations in serum and the brain following rapamycin treatment. Immunoactive insulin levels in serum and the whole brain were measured using the Bio-Plex Mouse Diabetes Panel Assay. The concentration in (A) serum and (B) the brain was analyzed to determine (C) the brain/serum ratio. The brain samples represent insulin levels from 1000 µg protein (whole brain lysate).
