Table 1.

Identification results of T. benhamiae complex species using MALDI-ToF mass spectroscopy. An identification was deemed valid when log scores were ≥1.7 and at least three out of the four replicates were identified as the same species, strains for which any of these criteria were not met were counted in the column ‘no identification’. When an identification did not match the identity based on ITS+BT genetical analysis, the identification was deemed an ‘incorrect identification.’ For certain clades (in bold) of closely related species/variants combined scores were calculated where identification was considered correct if the strain was identified as either one of the species/variants comprised in the clade.
