Semi-automated synthesis of a large library of degradable cationic polymers. The synthesis of the initial library of poly(β-amino ester)s polymers followed a combination of 7 diacrylate and 20 amine monomers, which resulted in 140 unique structures. This breakthrough work opened a new path in the field of nanoformulations for controlled drug delivery and was crucial for the development of automated HTS synthesis and characterization of polymeric libraries that succeeded.
