Identical acetylation site usage by the Tetrahymena and yeast H2A/H4 nucleosomal HAT activities. Chicken nucleosomes were acetylated by partially purified yeast NuA4 or Tetrahymena peak II. RP-HPLC-purified acetylated H2A and H4 reaction products were then deblocked and analyzed by microsequencing.
