The wines were fermented by the parent strain AWRI796 (), and five variants carrying mutations in Aro4p (AWRI2965 ()) or Tyr1p (AWRI2936 (), AWRI2940 (), AWRI4124 () and AWRI2969 ()). The area under the dotted lines (inset) highlights the linear relationship between these two higher alcohols at lower concentrations.
