Methods	Study design: randomised controlled trial
Participants	54 patients with impingement syndrome aged 18 to 65 years
Interventions	Intervention: shoulder kinesio taping application in addition to TENS, hot pack and ultrasound Control: transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS), hot pack and ultrasound Rehabilitation program: ten sessions
Outcomes	Outcomes were assessed before and after treatment. Outcomes: ‐ Pain: Visual analog scale (night pain, rest pain, pain with motion and general pain) ‐ Shoulder ROM (goniometer measurements) ‐ Function: Shoulder Disability Questionnaire and Disabilities of the Arm Shoulder and Hand
