Interventions |
1. Diazepam ('Valium') recommended dosage 7.5mg/day for 4 wks
2. Clonidine, recommended dosage 0.225 mg/day for 4 wks
3. Matched placebo
All participants had 3 individual sessions with a psychiatrist |
Outcomes |
Continuous abstinence at follow up on average 4.5ms from end of treatment. No biochemical validation, but confirmation sought from family and co‐workers. |
