Overexpression of UBP43 does not affect cell proliferation. Cells (1.5 × 10⁵) were seeded with or without the appropriate treatment, and numbers of viable cells were determined at the indicated times by hemocytometer count. Each time point is the average of three independent experiments of each of the three populations of M1 cells either carrying retrovirus vector alone (neo/M1) or containing the UBP43-expressing retrovirus construct (UBP43/M1).
