Mini International Neuropsychiatric Interview (MINI; post-traumatic stress disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, social phobia, antisocial personality disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, panic disorder only)62 Provides an index of levels of anxiety, and personality disorder over a defined interval of time prior to the interview.

Substance use Provides information on alcohol and drug use history. Questions derived from the 2001 New South Wales inmate health survey.41
Eysenck Impulsivity Questionnaire (EIQ)64 54-item questionnaire that assesses impulsive personality.
Level of Service Inventory-Revised (LSI-R)49 Measures offender risks and needs. Predictive of recidivism.
Self-reported offending* Enquires about whether a criminal act or offence has been committed in the past 8 weeks, and if so, details about the offence(s).
Sniffin’ Sticks (16-item version)65 This is used to examine for anosmia (loss of sense of smell), a possible proxy for prefrontal cortex damage.
Barnes’ Akathisia Rating Scale (BARS)60 A rating scale to assess drug-induced akathisia.
Compliance monitoring Provides a self-reported number of days per week, on average, that the participant ingested the study medication.
